Hello, my name is Christina Cook and I am a current student at Walden University. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and I am currently studying for my Master’s degree in Psychology. My interest lies in general psychology with a focus on mental health and addictions. Recently I have been researching information on heroin use, addiction, and injury. I have been studying the social movement against heroin use and how the mental health profession, psychology especially, plays a role in the two. The reason I have chosen the movement against heroin use is the increase in use, injury, and death related to the use of heroin. I, as well as family and friends have experienced the loss of individuals we know, due to the use of heroin. I hope you will take the time to share your research, experience, and stories on my Blog.
